Made by hand in South Asia — dyed, knotted, and finished through slow craft and deep tradition.

the dye

We use what the land gives us — madder root, indigo, walnut husk, pomegranate rind.

Each color shifts with sun, water, and time. No two batches are alike. That’s how we keep them honest.

These aren’t just dyes. They are stories steeped in soil.

Colorful yarn skeins hanging on a wall above rolled and folded rugs on the floor.

the thread

We begin with the basics — hand-spun wool, gathered in small seasonal batches. No machines. No shortcuts. Just thread passed through fingers, tested by touch.

Our weavers know when it’s ready. Not by stopwatch. By instinct.

the weave

Our rugs are woven by hand on wooden looms in small workshops. The process is slow and precise — each knot tied one at a time, often by memory, not by map. A medium-sized rug can take several weeks. Larger pieces take months.

It’s not just about following a pattern. It’s about rhythm, attention, and skill passed down through generations.

Two people are working on hanging and arranging several large, colorful rugs or carpets on a rooftop or outdoor terrace area.

the finish

We wash each piece in open tanks, dry it under the sky, and brush it by hand. Then we rest it. Like bread, or story, it needs time to settle.

Nothing leaves our studio until it feels… right.
